How to include a picture with my post on LTT Forum?

Hello Forum,

 

You might tell @Linus to remove me from the forum for spamming, but I really don't know how to put a picture in a post. I just keep tying everything.

You just click the image icon then paste the link to the image.

Also, add [.img] to the beginning and [./img] to the end.  (without the .)

Or click the "Insert image" button that is a picture.

Type img = Link like so

And remember that image link needs to end to image extension. Like .jpg for forums to accept it.

You have a couple of options:

• You can upload it to an image hosting site like imgur, the post the BBCode into the forum. It should look something like

  [img=http://i.imgur.com/4FmIDsI.png]

  or

  [img=http://i.imgur.com/4FmIDsI.png]

  These BBCodes also work if you're hostimg the image yourself - just replace the imgur link with your own.

  If you upload an animated image, rather than copying the BBCode, you can instead copy the direct link to the image (it should end in .gifv or .webm) and just paste the link into your post, and the forum will embed it properly (and much more efficiently than using the gif version).

• You can upload the image directly to the forum by clicking "more reply options" (if you're replying to a thread or editing a post - if you're creating the thread then you should be on the right page already) and upload the image using the attach files button at the bottom of the editor.
