Does LTT have a 980ti review coming shortly?

I've heard about reviewers getting 980tis recently and was curious if the Linus dynasty has received one and if you guys are in the process of filming the review. If anything I really wish that Jen-Hsun Huang would hurry up and give the green light to release these beasts even if they're in fact slightly cut down Titan Xs (as they should be tbh given the price point)

Well, the card needs to be released before they can make a review on it. They may have it but they need to wait till it's out so they can release the review, and we don't know when the card is scheduled for release :L

Until official word from Nvidia, The 980Ti does not exist, as it would seem redundant to have the Titan X and a similar 980Ti, granted the 980Ti would be a Titan X cut down. Also if LMG [Linus Media Group] did indeed have an engineering/review sample of this alleged GPU there would be a given point at which the embargo they could publically reveal they possess this GPU and post benchmarks and or review the card. I wouldn't really fret too much, because if there is a 980Ti in the works then cool, if there is not then that's totally fine too.

inb4 IT DOESN'T EXIST !!!1!!!1!1!!!!!11!1

Three letters: NDA

I've signed game NDA's before and I didn't see anything about telling someone if you've received a product or not.

Probably not for at least 4 months if they ever even release one.

Three letters: NDA

Linus seemed fine talking about it on the WAN show so I don't even think there is an NDA yet.

I'm very much aware of that but if you looked at my post or read some recent articles then you would know that specs and benchmarks have all but been 100% leaked and that the launch for this card is any day between now and Computex on June 2nd. It's still possible I could eat my words in a few days but i'd be willing to bet on it.

They'd be confirming the existence of an otherwise non-existing card, as far as anyone's knowledge goes.

Linus probably won't do a review till the GPU is in his hands and he can benchmark it.

I missed this week's WAN show. Were they merely speculating? If so, there's no harm in doing that.

I did too, I guess in the mean time I can scrub through the show to see what exactly he's referring to.

Yeah, mostly they were talking about how the 980ti would fit in with the 390X. But if Linus was under NDA I don't think he would have talked about it as much as he did considering there wasn't even a rumour article he was referencing, most of what he said was his own speculation.

We don't even know if they will actually release a 980 ti, but if they do, then Linus will almost certainly review it.
