Why doesn't Linus like Razer?

Okay... first: Not all razer products suck. I have a Blackwidow before they changed switches... and it's great. The Razer Blade is like the Macbook pro... beautifully designed, and you pay for that.

The projects never end in my line of work.

Razer has the best looking products..

Everything for gaming is overpriced nowadays

They're excellent quality, I've been using 'em for a while now, and tons of YouTubers love them...

Excellent support. They have the only support that's actually worked to help me with my problems (very small problem)

Ehh this is all debatable just like "Razer has the best looking products" and "They're excellent quality". I hate the look of Razer products and I have used many things by them and they all just feel cheaply made. Can't stand it, and I have owned a few Razer products and all didn't last very long. My Logitech mouse I use to use lasted me 2 years with out problems and Razer I had problems the first month with it, I personally thing Razer is a hit or miss with products. Since YouTuber's use it, it doesn't really mean anything, they could just be sponsored and gets free products from them or something so more people will buy into it. I like being different from everyone else and use something different than a product most people have.

Is corsair overpriced?  I buy their stuff because I like corsair products.

Yeah corsair products are a bit overpriced too. Their quality used to be really great though. Well at least they have amazing customer support.

My observation with Razer is this, if you don't buy the top of the line everything else sucks. My Blackwidow and Deathadder are amazing, when I was on a budget and had a arctosa and what ever that 30 dollar mouse was from them they fell a part.

Overpriced. You can easily get other options which are better or something similar at a lower price. Smart buyers tend to stay away from Razer products in general.

Incorrect, but whatever helps you sleep at night.

 

Actually, I use the Corsair M65, which costs more than the Razer Deathadder.

Deathadder is only one of the tons of mice Razer sells...

 

Beats of the PC business. Overpriced flashy garbage.

Is that why they keep winning awards and why their stuff is used by tons of Streams and YouTubers?

I've heard from some that the Razer Blade is the best, others that it sucks. Same for the Macbook Pro.

Nah it's not over priced. The quality is totally worth the price :)

The looks is really based on opinion. That's all. They don't feel or look cheaply made to me.. My Razer products have lasted a while even though I've been careless with them...

I don't like Razer keyboards because they are made of plastic!  I have this dumb mindset that anything made out of metal  especially brushed aluminum :), is better

I hate the Razer keyboards as well, used the new Chroma and it just felt cheap in general, the switches sucked hardcore and the body just felt like a $10 keyboard from your local store. I do like the brushed aluminum on things but it just gets finger prints on it and stains easily so that is a draw back of it.

Me too I want to upgrade from my M65 to an RGB but I want the non new logo version!  DO you know where to get one?

You may be lucky to find one on Ebay/Craigslist, they are no longer sold  :(

Celebrities and kids use beats all over. Mostly for that flashy look and the association behind it. Most streamers are sponsored too.

I've heard from some that the Razer Blade is the best, others that it sucks. Same for the Macbook Pro.

I have the Blade, and it is definitely the best computer I've used (I've used Alienware, Asus, Dell, Macbooks, Sony and Toshiba. They were some of the more expensive versions aswell, not the cheap versions)

 

I don't like Razer keyboards because they are made of plastic!  I have this dumb mindset that anything made out of metal  especially brushed aluminum :), is better

Last time I heard him say anything negative about a Razer product it was along the lines of "why the hell would you solder in RAM, and not give an option over 8GB!" Which I dunno, is a valid point.

Perhaps sarcasm? Either way, the Deathadder is ranked #1 mouse by multiple places by far.

 

I hate the Razer keyboards as well, used the new Chroma and it just felt cheap in general, the switches sucked hardcore and the body just felt like a $10 keyboard from your local store. I do like the brushed aluminum on things but it just gets finger prints on it and stains easily so that is a draw back of it.

That's kinda based on opinions as well. I have one, and I love it.

 

Celebrities and kids use beats all over. Mostly for that flashy look and the association behind it. Most streamers are sponsored too.

I'm talking about those like Syndicate who keep advertising it by their own will. He was just talking about how awesome Razer is. Tbh, Beats isn't bad. It's a good company. It's just way overpriced. If they costed 33% of the price, everyone would have them.

Most items are indeed backed on plastic. Link me a metal chassis mouse, and a metal keyboard (from a major manufacturer) and I'll retract.

I've had a Naga for the past 3 years, used in a work scenario every day, and another at home... no issues. Same with the keyboard.

They are well built, referring more to the blade, but the other products don't fall apart either.

Linus doesn't have anything against razer. 

only thing he didn't like about the razer blade 14 (2014) was the naming scheme and price.

Razer has multiple products ya know.

 

Last time I heard him say anything negative about a Razer product it was along the lines of "why the hell would you solder in RAM, and not give an option over 8GB!" Which I dunno, is a valid point.

If you're going to claim something, you better back it up.

 

Most items are indeed backed on plastic. Link me a metal chassis mouse, and a metal keyboard (from a major manufacturer) and I'll retract.

I've had a Naga for the past 3 years, used in a work scenario every day, and another at home... no issues. Same with the keyboard.

They are well built, referring more to the blade, but the other products don't fall apart either.
