Tesla now can directly sell its cars in New Jersey

http://www.engadget.com/2015/03/18/tesla-new-jersey-sales/

Tesla's relationship with New Jersey is a little complicated. After first banning direct-to-consumer sales just over a year ago, then moving to lift the ban, the Garden State is finally following through. CNBC reports that governor Chris Christie has signed a bill into law allowing dealership-free sales.

Well, this is great! It proves that even the worst of anti competition policies can be overturned. This should give a lot of you out there hope!

Good.

I hate the stupid laws that require a dealer. Open markets are the best markets.

It will be real, when they actually start selling cars, then a precedent will have been set, and the unions/lobbyists will have no legal maneuvering to get around this.
