Budget PC build NEED HELP!

I was planning on building a new itx formfactor PC for Lan party's or when friends wanna come over and play some games (so that they don't have to bring there own PC).

I already have some parts but need your help for the other parts.

The parts that I already have:

-Sapphire HD 6950

-8 gig DDR3 Samsung RAM

-600 watt PSU with 80 plus

-1TB Seagte HDD

-120 gig HyperX fury SSD

So the only parts I need to complete the build are CPU, motherboard and case. And the budget is €250~€300. What would you Guys recommend?

(Motherboard has to have 7.1 sound card)

(Sorry for bad english, I'm Dutch)

a little bit on the high side but it should do the trick

i3 core now

but later jump to higher CPU and the Z97 board supports OC of the future i7 CPUs

250D Corsair case is pricey but you cant fault the looks and features

I'm not really looking into upgrading this system in the future.

Maybe these parts?

-Pentium G3258 ~ €70

-MSI Z87I AC Gaming ~€107

-Corsair Obisidian 250D ~€93

I got my prices from Alternate.nl

it could work

but note that Z87 boards may need BIOS updates to get them to accept G3258 which are Haswell Refresh CPUs

The z97i gaming AC is €160 in the Netherlands so thats somewhat to expensive. Node 304 is a nice case aswell.

Try Gigabyte's Z97N Gaming 5 motherboard. I can't seem to find any more Z97 Itx boards that has 7.1 audio except for the gaming grade motherboards.

I kinda like the Node 304 than the 250D. I'm not saying the 250D looks bad but IMO it looks big for an itx case (maybe because of the feet) but meh it depends on your choice.

The gigabyte board is alsof very expensive (€180), but I don't mind going with z87, MSI's site says that the z87i gaming AC supports the Pentium out of the box. I alsof have an i5 4690k with an MSI z87-G65 board in my main PC and that also didn't need any updates to get the CPU to work.

Just get the H version of the mobos. I assume you aren't overclocking?

I am, the G3258 is meant for overclocking so I think I'm going for the Z87i Gaming AC.

I think you can overclock even with H motherboard, but I'm not sure

I'm not sure if all H motherboards supports overclocking. All I know is that ASUS is the only one that can overclock the G3258 on non Z motherboards

and @Aapje98 as long as you have a z motherboard then that's okay. (check BIOS updates first, I'm a little hesitant with Z87 boards that can unlock the G3258 right out of the box
