What is the best way to uprage my PC?

Hello there!

I need to upgrade my pc, but I don't know which part gives the best perfomance (or which part would bottleneck my rig).

So I hope you guys can help me out! I want to play games at High/Ultra with decent FPS. Also I am working with huge Photoshop and 3D Files.

I can spend around 1000€ max (I am from Germany)

I don't need:

- Peripherals

- Monitors (both are 1080p)

- Case (Thermaltake Chaser MK-1)

My current PC:

- AMD Phenom II X6 1055T

- Noctua NH-U9B SE2

- AMD Radeon HD 7870

- 16GB DDR3 RAM (2x A-DATA, 2x G Skill RipjawsX F3-12800CL9-4GBXL)

- Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. 990FXA-UD3

- 64-bit Windows 8.1

Samsung SSD 840 PRO Series (128GB)

- 2x WD Green (4TB)

- 2x SAMSUNG HD103SJ (1TB)

- Toughpower XT 775W

- 4x Fans

I know you guys know a lot more than me, so thank you!

- Lukas

(sorry for the "uprage" typo.. I meant upgrade)

I would go for i7 and everything else is ok.

Maybe wait for 300 series from amd for gpu, or get something like 970/980 from nvidia.

This ^

If you still plan on gaming at 1080p then 2 7870's will kill it. The x6 you already have would still be more than good enough for 1080p gaming with 2 7870's anyway so I would just save my money if I were you, Buy some nice headphones or a keyboard or something like that.

@unicorn

Why get a new PSU if the one he has is already a decent unit though?

Shouldn't be an issue. If you're looking for cheaper performance do that. 970 would be the better choice in my opinion.
