  3. Hey there, I'm building a new PC, I really don't care about looks (case without window), I just want raw performance. This rig will be for heavy gaming and editing (but only on a 1080p monitor). I got around ~ 1200€ I tried my best: http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/cFjdRB Parts I already have: SSD HDD Optical Drive Monitors & Peripherals So what do you guys think? I'd love to hear your suggestions! - Lukas
  4. Hey there, First of all, I want to build a new PC (Skylake Build), but I need to upgrade my GPU right now (mine is dead) and I need to use my PC. I figured I'd buy the GPU now and upgrade everything else around Christmas. Now my Question is, will my CPU Bottleneck the new GPU, or will it even work properly? I have an AMD Phenom II A6 1055t and I want to buy the R9 390 Thanks!
  5. Hello everyone, I'm Lukas from Germany and I'm currently planning my new Build. I'm a Photo- and Cinematographer and my new PC should be able handle 4k RAW Video footage and big format photos. I do alot of Rendering and Mutlitasking so a fast CPU and a decent RAM is a must have. But also I'm a passionated gamer and I want to be able to play the newest games. (also VR ready would be awesome!) I can spent around: 2200,- € What do I want: - 1TB SSD (2x 500GB?) - 32GB RAM - Fast CPU (Overclocked?) - would love a cool colersheme (black&white would be super awesome!) (But ofc: power > colorsheme) - Solid Case - what ever you guys can recommend! What I don't need (which parts do I already have): - Monitor (2x 1920x1200) - Peripherals - HDD Space (I have two 4TB WD Greens available for my new Build) I hope you guys can help me, so thanks in advance! - Lukas While I was typing this Post I tried to put together a little PC, what do you guys think? Can you recommend these parts? Or did I picked crap? http://de.pcpartpicker.com/p/nBnYBm

  11. Since I'm a photographer, this display! Good luck everyone!
  12. I need to handle 4k footage, my two monitors are running at 1920 x 1200. I'm sorry for the confusion!
  13. Hello there! Since I browse the linustechtips forum all the time, I thought this would be a great place to plan out my new rig, since the people know what they are talking about. I'm from Germany and my Budet is around $2200 - $2400 (1500€ - 1800€). This is my first own Build, so I don't really know what parts work best together. The purpose of this PC: First of all I want to edit alot of Pictures and Videos (also 4k), so it should handle that. Also it would be awesome if I could play current and future games easily on "high / ultra" with a decent FPS Number (780 TI maybe?). Things that I already have: (2x) Monitor (1920 x 1200) Windows 8.1 Peripherals 120GB Samsung SSD 840 Pro Series (2x) 4TB WD Green (I also have more external storage) Thanks in advance for every help possible!
