So I went ahead and decided to go with the Enermax ETS-T40 White Cluster for the CPU cooler. At least to start out with (Really want to water cool this eventually). But It's obviously all white.

The powder coating is pretty good. I'ver heard this and the Black version perform pretty well.

 

I'm not sure how I feel about the fans. The Enermax cutouts are kinda cool but would rather the thin plastic of the body, mounts and fan blades to color match perfectly but will probably look pretty good with LEDs on.

I like the sleeved cable but wish it covered the entire length. We'll see if I feel like resleeving it (probably not! lol). It has a little push button for the LEDs. Overall I'm happy to have it in the build!

What would've been cool would be to get a be quiet Dark Rock Pro 3, Spray the top white and stencil your own logo into the top.

Quite possibly. But ATM I'm not in a great place to experiment with mods until I lock down a few more parts. GPU(s) are gonna hurt the wallet quite a bit.

 

Looking at SSDs and fans at the moment. Crucial BX100's are looking pretty attractive their GB/$ ratio.

Thanks Youri. There will definitely be some videos based around this build. Snow storm put a damper on getting into work to make videos this past week. But I'm hoping to get caught up this week.

** Editing OP - Just received an email comfirming Avexir will be providing 16GB of their 1600MHz Mark S RAM for the build! So Psyched!

Thanks. Yeah I know the Galaxy HOF is kinda perfect barring getting at least 1 review sample it'd be tough. Still have all the bills and student loan payments to make :(

Took some time to film and photograph the Fractal Design Define R5. Really loving this case. The amount of refinements FD have make show how much they pay attention to their customers, the industry and reviewers. Air and Water cooling should be a breeze and cable management should be great.

I love the captive thumbscrews. My only gripes so far are that the captive screws aren't used everywhere and that the color/texture matching between the plastic and metal isn't perfect. Hope you enjoy the pics!

Notably I have the first EVGA GTX 980 FTW. The Avexir RAM has arrived. I ordered and received 1x Intel 730 240GB SSD and 1x 1TB WD Blue HDD.

My thinking is that I'll start the build as soon as possible with 1 GPU and 1 SSD/HDD to get it off the ground and get you guys more content. Let me know what you think of this idea and anything else you wanna see!
