HDD failing?

Ariona

Well Long story.

My sata cable was found burnt and now Windows is reported one of my HDDs is failing a 2TB Seagate Barracuda.

I don't know if it can be fixed I was able to recover all of it's data I needed and formatted it.  Is it useless now? Or dying? Or what?

did you mean the SATA power cable melted?

after replacing the SATA data and Power cables.

Does the HDD is able to be accessed?

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

The ends have wires exposed and slightly melted plastic.

Yes the HDD still works but windows and HD tune say something has failed.

Try with CrystalDiskInfo and see if the program gives the same result

time to do some backup in case the HDD does die slowly

probably just the sata cable whas shorted some wires touched. Some cables are made with defects. Your hdd wont take damage from that.
