Computer desk advice

silberdrachi

So the last time i moved, the movers weren't exactly perfectly careful with my desk, it still stands up and holds my desktop and screens, but its getting annoying.

Looking for a computer desk that will fit 2 27in screens and a med sized tower on it. I live in the US and price isnt exactly a big deal so long as the quality is high as well. I am 6'4" and so will tend to taller desks, though right now my chair is broken as well (i have shit luck) so ill figure that out after i find a desk.

Anyone have brands they prefer/know are good? Almost everything i see at office depot or the like isnt great quality.

Primary:

Intel i5 4670K (3.8 GHz) | ASRock Extreme 4 Z87 | 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical LP 2x8GB | Gigabyte GTX980ti | Mushkin Enhanced Chronos 240GB | Corsair RM 850W | Nanoxia Deep Silence 1| Ducky Shine 3 | Corsair m95 | 2x Monoprice 1440p IPS Displays | Altec Lansing VS2321 | Sennheiser HD558 | Antlion ModMic

HTPC:

Intel NUC i5 D54250WYK | 4GB Kingston 1600MHz DDR3L | 256GB Crucial M4 mSATA SSD | Logitech K400

NAS:

Thecus n4800 | WD White Label 8tb x4 in raid 5

i like L desks and corner desks(regardless of postion)

you can always just get a smaller dinning table to use as a desk i know many people that do this. as for brands i have no idea i just go with some solid wood or wood composite

IKEA all the way.

I have a simple one (that I bought 2nd hand for 15 euros) that could easily fit my 22" and 24" display and PC. (It just has the panels and my PS3 on it, I have multiple desks here)

Just get something simple from IKEA that is big enough

Would make for a nice L shaped desk i think, i will have to go home and measure my current desk and see what i have to work with. The adjustable legs will be nice, that with maybe one of those DX Racer chars should give me halfway decent posture. I just wish i could try it out before i bought one.

The idea linnmon adlis is a great table/leg combo as to comes in lengths of 100,120,150 and 200 cm. I have the 200 and it's sturdy but does need a 5th leg in the middle. You can get adjustable legs such as gerton legs to put it to the height that you want.

2x http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/10251352/#/10251352

8x http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/30264301/

or one of those tops, and one of these too http://www.ikea.com/us/en/catalog/products/80251141/#/80251358

Luckily i live like 20 miles from an ikea, and i might be able to talk a buddy with an SUV into picking stuff up with me. Camaros arent the most practical call ever.

Now i just have to find a chair.

When you're in ikea sit on the chairs that they offer, my brother (jambls) has the malkom chair, comes in leather and fabric, the leather feels cheap so he went for the fabric, which is soft and I like it.

Yeah i plan to, the question is just how much abuse they can take. I sit at my desk for 7-18 hours a day depending on if i work from home or not. Most chairs that arent "office" grade tend to die pretty quick. I have to see if the quality/cost ratio is worth it, if i have to buy a new chair once every 2 years it might be more worth it to drop 400 on a nice chair that lasts longer.

From my experience with ikea I would say that the higher price chairs have a better build quality.
