Looking for a mouse for CS:GO

TwOne
Go to solution Solved by TwOne,

I made a choice: the G402. I felt like I really needed the extra buttons the Deathadder didn't have. But, I also don't need many of the extra features the G502 has. I like Logitech, I have had tons of their mice in the past (currently using a M110 as replacement).

So, I have been playing CS:GO for a while, and wanted to start playing seriously. Recently was my birthday, so I decided to put the money I got to a new mouse. I currently use a Logitech M500 Laser mouse, which is nice for Internet browsing and Microsoft Office, but I need a mouse that I can also play CS:GO with well, and feels similar (I use palm grip, and I am right handed).

So I've been looking at these mice (budget is about 30-70 euros):

CM Storm Recon (37-39€)

SteelSeries Rival (55-58€)

Razer Deathadder 2013 (~66€)

Razer Deathadder Chroma (~69€) IDK, I really like the lights

Logitech G400s (67-72€) I think these are a dying species, so if it's a really good mouse, I will buy it as quick as I can

I have also heard people say positive things about Zowie mice, but I never tried them, and I don't know about the company.

The ones that are available in my country are the FK1 (for 60 euros), EC2 eVo CL (for 58 euros) and EC1 eVo CL (58 euros as well)

This

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Rival is good for the price. G402 is also good. G502 has many features you don't really need in my opinion.

Deathadder is extremely overpriced nowadays. And I have 3 friends who had deathadders switched to rivals and one switched to g402 and they loved those mice.

Honestly most of the pros use the Deathadder, Zowie EC1/EC2, Zowie FK1, Steelseries Sensei Raw, or the Logitech G100s. The Zowie mice and the deathadder are well suited to palm grips. The G100s and the Sensei are more suited for small/medium hands or claw grippers.

Me personally my Zowie EC1 has been an amazing mouse but I hear great things about the ambidextrous FK1 but if you want a right handed mouse get the EC1 evo CL.

If you're looking at a Deathadder Chroma you should also consider the new Corsair Sabre Optical

light and simple, Logitech g100s.

average weight with 2 side buttons, Zowie fk1

Heavier with more buttons, Logitech g502.

Yeah, Zowie mice are quite good, especially the fk1. Zowie mice have the best cords, flexible and quality. The fk1 has the best implementation of the 3310 sensor, which is the premium non propietary sensor. The only issue is Zowie doesn't believe in mouse drivers, so there is no software, so they had to limit your dpi options to 4: 400, 800, 1600, and 3200.

Thanks for all the quick replies! The reason the G502 is not on my list, because I heard it has acceleration issues (it may be fixed with some new firmware or later models, idk)

I prefer Logitech, I've had quite a new of their mice in the past.

My IRL friends suggest buying the cheapest gaming mouse I can find, but I'm not that stupid.

Also, the G100s may be nice and low cost, but I need the side buttons. I currently have two buttons at my thumb for voice chat and nade switching, and I don't mind having more.

And I really don't care too much about fancy software. As long as I can use 400/800 dpi modes it will be fine.

U play CS:GO but sensitivity is the key, if u like to lift your mouse to make turns then light weight mouse is for u, if u play with high sensitivity the heavy mouse is for u.

The g400s is one of the mice that suffers from excessive smoothing. Ideally you want to avoid it.

Ok, I'm glad someone cleared that up.

I might sleep a night over this and then make a decision in the weekend.

It might be a bit controversial, but I do enjoy gaming with my razer naga, especially fps. Once you get used to using the side buttons to change weapons, reload, throw nades and knife it works like a dream and you never have to lift your fingers of the movement keys
