Post pictures and spec on your rigs. They have to be STUPID!!!! Not stupid as in bad but as in you don't need any thing in that rig.  Like a Xeon E5-2690 and you game on it lol. :D  I will start it off with my stupid rig that I put together.

CPU                  Core i5 4670k  @ 4.0GHz

Ram                  20GB of Corsair Vengeance 1866    (Why I don't know)

GPU                  PNY GTX 770

Motherboard     Asus ROG Maximus VI

Here is where it get stupid

HDD  2 Samsung 840's  2 Samsung 840 EVE 1 Random 240GB SSD from dell and a OCZ vertex 460 all in raid 0 for my OS.  4 WD Green in raid 5 off of my LSI Card and a 2 TB for my games like I need it.  Also stuffed ina 1.5TB HDD for torrents  :P. No idea why any one would do this but I did.  The Samsung drives are 120GB so i am wasting some space there having them in Raid 0.

Stuffed it all into a NZXT H440

Dual GTX 760s. Stupid. But mine beat some OC'd 980s!

Also, Dell SP series monitors. Made for "Business demand"

Can I have your spare drives then? I have 20KB left on my hard drive.

Or you could buy a $50 1TB drive.

A little while after I built my rig I added another 660 Ti, 8GB of RAM,a Creative Soundblaster XF-i Titanium and an AX 750 to needlessly replace my Silent Pro M 700w. I didn't need the extra 660 Ti as I was only on a single 1080p screen and I'm not a graphics whore, my 660 Ti also overclocked like a boss(beating some reasonably OC'd 670's at 1080p). The extra RAM was also unnecessary as I hadn't even managed to use all 8GB up to that point but I wanted all the slots on my board filled. I also didn't need the sound card but I had planned on getting it initially but had to cut it to reduce the initial cost of my Rig.

What it was

What it became

What it is now after some GPU failures, I was upgraded to 760 4GB's for free by EVGA

WOW. I got most of my parts for free.

Sounds like my PC. I mean it would be cheaper to just buy two 4TB WD drives and 1 Asus REVO Drive then that stupid setup I have. I am getting 1.6GB read and 800 write. My 4k is not the best at 29 read and 96 write. But hey my pc boots up in 7 seconds lol.

Have yet to take a picture but Gigabyte G1 Gaming 970 SLI with a single 1920x1080 monitor.

I will upgrade to NV Surround someday but right now it is WAY too much power.

Also a 1000w PSU with 970s is a little overkill.

So not personally mine, but I built this computer a few years ago for the secretaries at my uncles business to use, to specs given to me for "crucial financial use" or something like that.

2012-01-12_20-46-05_295.jpg

AMD Phenom 960 or something, Crosshair IV or V mobo, 16GB RAM, Crossfire 6950 or 6970's, SSD. I can't remember exact specs, sorry... it was a while ago, which is also why the pictures suck, I believe this was my Droid X.

2012-01-31_18-57-58_988.jpg

Now for the funny part... they remote desktop into a 5 year old server and do all their work off that server. Only two monitors get turned on, one locally for browsing facebook and the other for the remote desktop window. To top it off, it gets used maybe once a week for 4 hours now. IIRC we spent over $3k for the entire setup.

2011-09-30_02-12-50_306.jpg

Went with the case as I was going to build three identical systems so they could carry around HDDs with info, until I realized what they were doing and explained how it doesn't matter when you remote desktop into a machine that has all the info on it.
