PCI-E 3 will be a bottleneck soon?

Hey guys,

 

I am planning an upgrade this December, but i am concerned about the news for PCI-E Gen 4 which by rumors is supposed to be arriving end of next year. Since my build I will keep for like 3-5 years, only upgrading GPUs from time to time, do you think PCI-E Gen 3 will be a bottlenecking GPU upgrades by then?

Well, Gen 2 still has no bottlenecking issues (AFAIK), so I think saying that PCI-E Gen 3 will become a bottleneck with GPUs is a little far fetched.

gen 2 starts bottlenecking at something like 140+ fps so gen 3 should last really a lot of time
