Best Speakers For 300$

Jogostar

Hello Folks!

I'm in need of a new pair of good speakers and was wondering, what my best choice for around 300$ would be.

They don't have to look good or anything, just need to have good sound quality.

I mostly listen to Hip Hop, so something with good bass would be great.

And, should I go for 5.1 or 2.1?

Thanks! :D

Logitech Z623.

They're pretty cheap though.

Do they have nice sound quality?

If you can afford a Bose system, go for it.

I have a Logitech z906 and it really sounds good :)

They're amazing for hip hop and other bass-heavy music.

Not sure if they're available here in Switzerland.

I'll read some reviews.

The Companion 3 are more expensive then Z623 and aren't as good for hiphop/bass music. They're better for music that you'd want better vocal quality though.

I loove my Z623s, I've never cranked them really high due to the fear of my house falling down, but they're amazing speakers nonetheless.

Well it's not like I want to have an 8 point earthquake everytime I listen to music.

Just something with decent bass and good sound quality.

lol I'm listening to music on mine now and it sounds great. It's definitely more power then you need, but they are amazing speakers for the price, especially considering they got 5 times more power then the Z523 and cost at most twice the price, very often less then that.

Why is power being used as a measurement for quality?

It's not, if OP was using the speakers for music more focused on mids and vocals rather then bass, I'd actually suggest against the Z623, and rather for something like the Klipsch ProMedia 2.1

I didn't say I need pure power.

I said I need decent power and good sound quality.

Z623 isn't extreme power (that's what Z906 is for), it's decent power and good sound quality for what it is. That being said it isn't the best in terms of pure sound quality but it provides a better listening experience compared to other speakers like Klipsch ProMedia when it comes to more bass-y music

The Z623 are on my "Need to check out" list.

I just assume that if I have a budget of around 300$ there is something better than a pair of 150$ speakers.

Yeah, but like every speaker that's half decent can get loud enough to blow my ears off. I just don't see the point of caring.

what would you recommend?

Corsiar sp2500  is better then any Logitech system I've owned or heard.

They're only 2.0 speakers though, so you'll have a lot less bass vs a 2.1.

They're also a lot more expensive. I was considering them when buying my Z623, but they just weren't worth the extra cost.
