Best Speakers For 300$

Jogostar

They're also a lot more expensive. I was considering them when buying my Z623, but they just weren't worth the extra cost.

Still in OPs budget and they certainty are with the extra.

I returned my SP2500 and got the Z623.

SP2500 aren't worth the extra $100

I know this may not be what exactly you're looking for, but have you ever thought or building your own pair of speakers or building a kit? You can really get an amazing value when you go this route and they are pretty fun to put together.

Case: Phanteks Evolve X with ITX mount  cpu: Ryzen 3900X 4.35ghz all cores Motherboard: MSI X570 Unify gpu: EVGA 1070 SC  psu: Phanteks revolt x 1200W Memory: 64GB Kingston Hyper X oc'd to 3600mhz ssd: Sabrent Rocket 4.0 1TB ITX System CPU: 4670k  Motherboard: some cheap asus h87 Ram: 16gb corsair vengeance 1600mhz

what would you recommend?

I would get cheap 90s speaker system [pioneer makes a lot of vintage home theater speakers]

You can hookup the speakers to your motherboard using 3.5mm to RCA cables or optical. (I also know a hack to enable 5.1 audio through OPTICAL on realtek onboard audio)

7.1 is borderline worthless; it gets really distracting if too much sound comes from behind you and speaker place is bad.

or just get these

and a gaming headset.

Gaming headset works better than 5.1 speakers FYI.

Building your own boxes and using off-the-shelf speakers is much like building your own pc and definintely the best overall bang for buck in terms of sound quality.... but it requires a good bit of skill [woodshop] and tools and receiver too so once you add up the total cost you could have just gotten a badass headset with 0 hassle and it'd work much better for gaming  and so I'd recommend doing that first and foremost.

you could buy a kit like this which only requires a bit of soldering for the cross overs.

or these

Or you could go with your own combination of components.

I built a pair of speakers a few years ago with these components and they turned out amazing.

A amplifier  will be needed as well an this is one i would recommend. Very small for factor and puts out an exceptional amount of power.
