Can i bend the pins on an included dvia to vga adapter?

melias24

Hey guys, so i need a dvid lead, but i only have a dvia to vga adapter. So my question. In the picture (i circled the pins i'm wondering if i can bend them) can i bend the 4 circled pins and use it like that? Or will it not work at all? I have 2-3 of these adapters so it's fine if i break one.

Thanks,

~Elias

Nope, those are the pins needed for the VGA signal. The D is DVI-D stands for digital, so you can't use an analog cable for that.

It will not work like Ssoele said. Time for a monitor upgrade if you're still using VGA..

He needs a DVI-D cable. Seriously dude, they're $5-10 at the most if you order them online or at a PC shop. Don't macguiver crap. You should never bend ANYTHING in a computer.

Intel Inside. Overweight guy in his 30's outside.
