Can i put Dark Rock Pro 3(163mm H) in Corsair 350D(160mm H) case?

Maybe someone has tried.

No, it won't fit. The clearance shown on the spec sheet is pretty much what the clearance actually is.

Example? I've never come across a situation where a cooler fit a case when the specified height would indicate otherwise.

I was thinking of getting a PC-v359, supports 161mm, I asked Lian li if it could support 161.7, they said yes

That's not even 1mm..  :mellow:The side panel generally flexes ~1mm one way or another. The clearance spec accommodates for at least that.

There is only 3mm more. You can probably mod the case or make the sidepanel flex (if it can flex enough)

So they lied? 0_o

They're probably undershooting in case there was slight variation from the side panel or the cpu cooler height.

think of it this way... its only 3mm more than the spec.. how much is that you can look with your eyes... even if there wont be enough room you could still put the panel on, it will bump a little...

 

same thing happened with me and my friend .. we bought a bitfenix outlaw and 212 EVO, there was about a few mm over spec...

Well, the cpu clearance for the Outlaw is 158mm which is pretty much how tall the 212 Evo is. There's pretty much no headroom if you can fit one in and you'd need to make sure nothing is slanted.
