8 years with the same case, I think I need an upgrade

weaponzero

Ok so I have a thermltake shark from many eons ago, and it is just getting on in age, I have my ssds double sided taped down, cable management...cables are all in the case means cables managed, but really it horrifying. Problem is I don't have a lot of cash, I would like a full or mid tower option with great cable management and plenty of room for my grandpa video card (gtx580).

Thanks in advance guys for any ideas

a full tower case from Corsair, NZXT etc. can be found for very little money on ebay. They are well build so there is hardly any problem with them even if they are a year or two old.

Wow, that was fast, my budget range is 100-150$ American, no preference on window, I have always wanted to try a custom paint job on my pc so maybe something that's all business with no frills.

Fractal, Corsair and NZXT cases all have great options at this price range. I just recently decided on the Fractal Arc Midi R2 (you could also go with the Define R4 or NZXT H440 if you want more plain styling and more silence optimization) for my own build and it is fantastic. Looks excellent, cable management was a breeze compared to my old Antec Twelve Hundred and the removable/rotating HDD cages is a nice feature for increasing air flow.

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 or Define R4 gets my vote.

Fractal Design Arc Midi R2 | ASUS Z97-A | Intel Core i5 4690K | G.Skill Ripjaw 4 GB (desperately needs upgrade) | MSI Radeon R9 290 | EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 | Samsung 840 EVO 250 GB SSD | Seagate Constellation 1 TB HDD (also needs upgrade) | NZXT Kraken X61 for CPU | NZXT Kraken X61 + G10 for GPU | Corsair M45 | CM Storm Quickfire TK | ASUS Xonar DSX | Denon AD-H2000

You want something with good cable management and plenty of room, get the air 540. It's only $120 and is excellent.

Yeah, I also wish they'd have had one with the drive cages like the 240 has, and bottom fans with a filter instead of the little hdd thingies.

Phanteks Enthoo Pro is $100 or Phanteks Enthoo Luxe is $150.

I honestly wouldn't look at any other cases, these are absolutely the best cases for your money at their respected price points.
