The GTX 970 listing has already been taken down but the 980 is still up there
An R9 290X can also be found at amazon for $408, nearly $150 lower than MSRP. Seems like price cuts are imminent from the red team.

according to this the 970 could be $300 usd http://wccftech.com/nvidia-geforce-gtx-970-official-msrp-299-nonreference-models-retail-329349/ but that might be wrong I would love it if that was the case though

Then this means its going to Be 539 USD / 319 USD? Pretty much every gpu ive seen is always priced 1:1 over in Europe regardless of the conversion price.

So we're looking at about £430 for the GTX 980 in the UK, which is only a £50 step up with EVGA. Pretty sweet

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO

I'd expect maybe 350€ for the nicer stuff like msi and asus. But still, an okay price. But it makes sense. When you look at the 780, it sells for 350€ so slightly less or same for the 970 sounds plausible. I would wamt one. :D

who cares...

for a gtx 780 level of performance, 415 is pretty good.

WIth the die being even smaller then hawaii makes it even better while only pulling like 2/3 of the rest.
