Defective Graphics Card? Bottleneck CPU?

In my computer I have a FX-8350 and a GTX 780TI. I got my Graphics card about a week ago and I am not happy about the FPS boost I am getting over my 750ti. In Assassins Creed 4, Maxed settings, I get around 55-65 FPS, which I am fine with. On Borderlands 2 Maxed without Physx I am getting around 55-75 FPS, Borderlands 2 on my 750TI I got around 65-90 FPS on the game. On Far Cry 3, I am getting around 60-80 FPS Maxed, on my 750TI I got around 45-70 FPS. On Cinebench, I scored 75 FPS with my 780TI, and with my 750TI I only got 10 FPS less. This has pissed me off all week, Is my FX-8350 Holding me back from getting performance? Or do I just have a defective GPU? The 750TI was only $150 and my ASUS 780TI was $580. Shouldn't I be getting better FPS then I am with it? I am leaning towards the processor, but I am not sure. Yeah I know AMD isn't as good as an Intel Processor, but I am getting a I7 4790K around Christmas. What do you guys think is my problem? BTW, I am running on a 1920 x 1080P monitor
Thank you for your help in advance, and please no stupid responses.

Heaven Benchmark Score was 59.67 FPS ( Couldn't screenshot it)

I think that is everything. ^

It's a cpu bottleneck. 8350 has problems running a single 290.

the 8350 shouldn't hold a 780ti back much (if any). There has to be something else wrong.

Have you tried updating/reinstalling drivers and/or windows?

It seems to be the CPU. Also go with the i5 since you're just gaming. The i7 is more for editing purposes so save a few dollars there.

The 8350 is not THAT bad. It isn't as good as an i5 or i7, but it shouldn't bottleneck that much.

Like others have said overclocking should help, but I think something else might be going on.

I'm thinking something else is going on. I didn't remove my 750TI drivers, but after I installed this GPU, I went in Driver Manager and uninstalled Graphics Drivers, then installed 780TI drivers off of the disk, then updated them with Nvdia Experience.

I've tried to overclock it. Without overclocking it, I run 55c on Prime95 for about 30 min, but if I try to overclock it by just a little Prime95 pushes it to 75c plus in as little as 3-5 min. Not sure if I am overclocking wrong, I have some experience in Overclocking. But idk why it pushes it hotter, if I barely touch it.

Looks like we have a similar setup PC parts wise. Do you know your Cinebench score?

Your CPU cooler is gonna hold back all overclocking headroom you have for the CPU.

Is my Hyper Evo 212 a bad cpu cooler? Its huge. Every review said it was good?

It's a good cooler. It's just nothing extreme. AMD CPUs need better coolers to achieve high overclocks. You're probably running into bottleneck city with an 8350 and a 780ti, plus the VRMs on your board are probably throttling.

NO....the 8350 will not be bottlenecked by 1 780ti. It will have bottlenecks at 2 cards, or maybe 4k resolution, but 1 card, definetely not.

Well BL2 is a CPU bound game, I'm seeing my GPU's dropping to 20% load even. http://i.imgur.com/QURKtb6.jpg

I would upgrade to a 4670K, a 4790k is quite a waste for gaming though.

It has been proven that it does. It's single threaded performance isn't cutting it anymore other than for singleplayer games.

Quick google search shows Borderlands 2 has many issues with CPU scaling and usage no matter what brand...thats a software/coding issue.

But Intel will perform dramatically better, he isn't going to wait for the devs to bring a "CPU bottleneck" patch out which never will happen anyways

half the threads complaining about fps in the game are all intels. In fact, the only ones which perform well with a high end card are i7s.

So no....the 8350 wont bottle neck one 780ti in BL2....its the game itself which bottlenecks performance

For godsake, a CPU bound game means that all CPU's are a bottleneck. I've showed you my 3930K bottlenecking and stop mentioning anything about i7's that do nothing special. Yes a 8350 is a bottleneck as I clearly showed even a 3930K does bottleneck a 780 in BL2. 8350's will be between 70-100% slower than Intel as you could see from my screenshot the BL2.exe barely went above 23% load. 3 cores of AMD are nothing compared to 3 cores of Intel, the difference is huge.

Id say your probably bottlenceking a little bit, what HZ is your monitor? If its not over 60 then upgrading your cpu is just a waste, besides the 8350 is better for streaming and gaming at the same time.

I am not saying that intel isnt superior per core performance, but in BL2 it doesnt matter whichcpu you use, there will be cpu usage issues. The OP will be limited by the software, it would be disingenious to say it was due to X processor.

Intels IPC is much better than Amd, thats without doubt. But in BL2 (which is the example you used) its a bad example of a cpu bottleneck.
