I own this monitor currently and it's awesome. Crisp color and I have not had an issue with it.

But I live in The Netherlands and there's no way I am going to purchase some prepaid credit card just to buy a monitor for like 80-100 bucks.

I don't know about there but the fees in North America are less the $5 for a Gift card.

In Vancouver it's $2 and I can put $2500 on it.

VISA also has deals with banks to issue VISA Debit cards, it works just like a Debit card and a credit card, they withdraw the money from your bank account.

Gift cards are safer because you just put the money you want to spend and then toss it away, no worries about the number being stolen because the card is useless

once you spend the cash.

Credit cards aren't a major deal anymore, kids can get them.

Then VISA/MasterCard Debit is the way to go.

Seen as credit card, no credit, your cash.

Gift cards aren't full fledged credit cards, they are just temporary cards that you toss away when the funds are depleted.

If you want to buy an $100 item, you just get a Gift card with $100 on it, select pay with credit card, enter the numbers and viola

you then toss the card away, no ID, No credit check, no credit needed, No bank account....

VISA Debit cards, are a normal bank card, you can deposit and withdraw money from your bank account

but you can also buy things online the same as a credit card taking the money from your bank account

the difference is the risk is higher because if someone gets your info then they can withdraw funds and buy stuff (Too a limit)

that's why gift cards are better.

Gift cards are safer,  once the money is gone the card is useless if stolen.

Want to spend $50?, get a $50 card.  use it once and toss it.

Visa Debit is always active and you can have money taken from your account.
