I Need Help With Build.....AGAIN

Go to solution Solved by Faceman,

Can Give Me A Good Quality One Then?

Cooler Master K280

Cougar MX300

I know you said you only need a 500GB HDD, but it makes more sense to get 1TB.  The fixed cost to produce SSDs and HDDs are fairly consistent, and the amount of money to double the storage is $10-$20.  It makes sense to go ahead and buy 120GB SSD or 1TB HDD.  Also, these devices run better when they are not close to their max capacity.  SSDs especially, but it is also true of HDDs.

This is what i currently have...

Ok I Want This Build To Be Good For Emulating And Gaming (That Means It needs to be INTEL)..... And HEAVY MULTITASKING

The Budget Is $650, I Live In australia And Yeah..

I Already Have A graphics Card, CPU Cooler.. ANd Just A Note, I Don't Want a SSD, And for the HDD can it only be 500gb Thanks...

And Yeah

@Krockendra

Buy a less expensive case if it means getting better components.

a 1tb HDD is only like $15 more than a 500gb one, it's really worth it.

a g3258 won't be great for cpu-heavy emulators, would it?

Well, probably not seeing as Australia's prices are greatly inflated. You can upgrade later on

Agreed. But why the expensive motherboard?

Thats how much motherboards cost in AUS.  The next step down is the MSI Z97 PC Mate for $15 less and the problem with that motherboard is that if he ever wanted to crossfire(which is a logical upgrade path given his current GPU) he would be bottlenecked by the PCI 3.0 vs. PCI 2.0.  I am not positive that this is an issue, but I have heard it off hand from someone.  Not sure if they were reputable or not.  So to eliminate any guessing, I opted for the $15 more expensive motherboard to avoid any problems that may arise later.

If Xfire is something he would never want to consider, then he could drop down to an ASRock Anniversary edition Z97 for $122.

That's very true. I'm getting the PC Mate because I don't believe in SLI/Crossfire ATM ;)
