If You Had 1,300 Dollars for a PC BUILD? <--You Guys Happy Now?

So I'm not sure if I should put this in the "build's" area of the forums as this IS a general question; as I am literally asking you guys out of curiosity.

So if you had 1,300 USD (or whatever amount is similar to that in your area) what parts would you choose to build in your new computer?

Even if you don't need that much, just make it overkill then regardless lol.

Geez the i5 and 290X cost that much in your area huh? Couldn't even afford the rest of that computer. LOL

1300 is actually not that much, and you cant really overkill it unless you make it unbalanced

just high end graphic card can cost you 600$

if you wanted six core or SLI / Crossfire you would be allready hitting the dirt.

Are you a gamer? Make it a gaming rig then. I don't quite understand why you're asking me a question. It's YOUR money and YOUR PC. Lol

And as always...no one is actually answering the question.

EDIT: Also it CAN be overkill if in actuality you didn't need the extra money for whatever you're planning on doing with it.

Boop. Of course you can shave off some money here and there, the HDD isn't that big, but nevertheless.

The topic should be "If I had 1 billion dollars for life"

I'd go with an i5 (say, 4460), an ASRock or ASUS Z97 mobo (say, the ASRock Z97 Anniversary), 750W (Semi-)Modular PSU, 16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance, GTX770, 120GB SSD + 4TB Seagate Barracuda. Wrapping it up in something like a Coolermaster HAF XB EVO.

If it was a gaming rig and I had to build it now, and could source all the parts at once, though some things might be tweakable for pricings (like, drop the SSD and go for the Barracuda on its own).

Interesting choices. Lol So I'm taking it you just went for a flat out gaming build?

A trick question! Now, see, since there's an 290X in there so the build will also function as a great space heater.

Considering you bought the Gigabyte model...that is a possibility. lol. Anyways, do you actually really like Borderlands? Cause personally if I really enjoyed the series, I'd go Nvidia even though they are more expensive.

An FX 8350 which I would then overclock, 2 R9 290s and a 850w gold PSU.

I'm also more of an Nvidia guy, but I was trying to save money (and I kinda failed). If I was building it just for myself, I'd go with a Maxwell card and no HDD (I have a NAS). My next rig will probably be watercooled Maxwell SLI, 2x360mm rads in H440 Razer edition (oh, and I'm also gonna make a stripe RAID from two SSDs). But that's waaaaaay over $1300, so i5+290X it is.
