This Noctua NH-L12 was originally acquired for use in an editing rig here at Linus Media Group, but with the whole-room water cooling project that plan went out the window... But if you're NOT planning on water cooling a room full of computers, should you consider the NH-L12?

Very surprised the nf-a9x14 wasn't used instead of the other 92mm fan :-/

Hey @LinusTech, I think the jumpcut to Luke in this video was pretty sudden. Maybe add a transition in the next review? I dunno, just my two cents :)

No way for $79.  I know that other companies will offer decent cooling options for half that or less.  No chance I pay $79 for an air cooler ever.

Too many ****ing games!  Back log 4 life! :S

As well as comparing the NH-L12 to the best coolers you guys have reviewed, I would've liked to see you compare it to those within the similar price range (I know this is difficult because of the fluctuating prices) and similar dimensions.

With that cooler on the Asrock Z77 pro4m, the fan mounting bracket almost touches the back of the gpu, the cooler won't fit on any motherboard that has the cpu socket lower (like any LGA1155 MINI-ITX board :c ).

Here's a pic for refference:

FINALLY THIS EXISTS! I have been looking for a Mini ITX compatible fan and heatsink for a long time.

I get 60 frames at 1080p on a dual core APU. Ask me how.
