hiderino
Go to solution Solved by Wtalk2,

What is your current cooler and your budget for a new cooler?

So i build my new Pc two weeks ago and overclocked my i7 4790k to 4,7GHz .... yeah :D

BUT NOW my i7 is at 70 degrees and i want to change my cpu cooler ... that's the point of this Topic:

Should i get a something like the h100i or should i still use some kind of a air cooler ?

PS: Thanks :3

If you can afford h100i then sure, go for it. Budged solution : 212 evo.
You are saying 70C on load with stock cooler? O.o

Have you been using the stock cooler????

Holy crap, what voltage is your CPU at?

If you don't want to bother with corsair link, the H105 performs better than the H100i.

If your case supports dual 140mm rads, the NZXT x61 performs better than those two ^ and the H110.

Large air coolers work just as well as some water coolers, but I have an irrational fear of the cooler falling off(itll probably be fine).

Get a good aircooler, perform just like the H100i but miles quieter, more reliable and cheaper.

I would suggest either the Noctua D14 or D15, they are both very high performance coolers but are also very quiet :)

70C under stress is nothing. I got same with mine. If its 70C under gaming load then its different thing.
