"Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance?

No, it's just Windows' way of simplifying the theme to makes things run a bit quicker. It's fine.

I've never noticed any real performance differences between running with Aero on and Aero off.

Ignore the message, and next time it comes up tell it to not show it again.

i7 not perfectly stable at 4.4.. #firstworldproblems

No, it's just windows being annoying.

Btw Aero sucks and does affect performance, that's why they removed it on windows 8

Right click on the desktop, select 'personalize', click W7 basic, go find a nice new wallpaper, enjoy never seeing that message again.

It is caused by gaming while Windows Aero is on, turn it off as detailed above and it'll stop.

Rightclick your games Shortcut or EXE file and go to compatability, disable desktop composition. This eliminates it 90% of the time.

You can also disable the Windows Troubleshooter in Action Centre within the Control Panel. (But I've read reports of it still occuring or turning back on after updates)

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz
