Astro A40's with Objective2 Amp?

Been a member of this forum for over a year and this is my first post 0.o

Anyway, I was wondering if running an Objective2 amp with just the Astro A40 headset would be viable and a good idea?

The MixAmp pro is really giving me a headache lately and I was in the market for a new amp. I would really like to not have to buy a new headset just because the crap amp that came with the one I have is a pain in the ass.

Anyone have experience with the setup or would be able to give me any advice on where to go?

Cheers

Is there something wrong with your onboard?

Has a really annoying interference buzz, so I disabled it and haven't used it since

Cheers, I'l have to look into that one. So the other option is to get a better, higher Ohm headset if I really wanted that amp?

Not even, its just better to spend less when less is all that is needed.

No. Unnecessary. Ohms don't have anything to do with quality. Blah blah blah.

I've always wondered how good the syba dac is. I heard someone mention it on here a while ago and didn't look into it. is it better than onboard? because i do like the mic playback feature on that guy.

"Onboard" is too vague. There's good ones where you'll never need another solution, and there's bad ones where you'd want to use anything else. The Syba DAC is a quality little unit with good features and good sound.

Can you compare it to the Realtek ALC887 if that's possible?

No. It's going to be different on every motherboard model because implementation.

I think anyone that says they can is clinically insane. There's only a difference between different solid state solutions if there's something wrong with them, and as SSL suggested, that comes down to implementation more than the individual chips.
