Yeah those don't work...

EDIT: Also, calling their marketing decisions "a mistake" is a good way for them to just completely disregard you. Especially a company like Activision that somehow manages to sell the same game every year to millions of people.

Honestly, no. It would be a crappy PC port with no effort put into it.

Specs are on my profile page

I don't see why it wouldn't happen anyway, with or without a petition

Not true, PC support was never even planned or considered. Planning for Destiny started all the way back in 2009, there is even an easter egg for it in ODST. It was planned from day one to be console only. The only thing that may possibly change that in the future is influence from Activision.

I don't care. They broke away from halo they could have easily went back to their console roots. Take out the versions ns for last gen games and a PC version shouldn't have been a problem.

Oh and unlike many people I quite liked odst.

Has a change.org petition ever actually changed anything?

I hope they do do a PC port, but I highly doubt it'll happen. As Shadowrun taught us back in 2007, trying to merge PC and console gamers into one pool doesn't work very well. Not to say they have to merge console and PC, but, really, if you don't, the PC community is gonna be pretty small

It has changed things just not things in the gaming industry. The community wouldn't be small it would likely rival the console community in number. I don't really see why you would think it wouldn't.

I've never heard of a Change.org petition changing anything that's why I don't think it does. However, I don't really seek out that information. It's not that I think it can't effect anything, just I've never heard of it changing anything. I'm not knocking the site, just saying I've never heard of it working before.

It's already strongly hinted to come to PC via Activision commenting on it. Steam also has a listing for it set to be released march 2015.

That being said: steam also had halo 3 listed.. So yeah.

Either way - if it does come out, I suspect a crappy port.

I honestly don't see the appeal of Destiny. It seems like a crappy bullet sponge-y shooter. The only reason they hype it so much is becuase the console peasants have never seen graphics like this.

It's changed political things, there was one before where a soldier wanted to get a VISA for his translator to enter the U.S. He was denied over and over but the guy was under threat by the terrorist groups in the middle east for helping U.S. soldiers. After making the petition his the VISA was granted. There have been others that are more political, rather than games since that deals with marketing and not someones safety and well-being.

Well after 343 ruined Halo I'm hoping it will give me another Halo to play, as it stands my 360 does nothing but allow me to watch Hulu and Netflix.

It's not a matter of what they could have done, it's a matter of what they wanted to do. The people in charge at Bungie simply did not want to work on releasing their games for PC, at all. They wanted to spend what time and resources they had focusing only on consoles.

Outside pressure is now forcing them to re-evaluate that thinking, but they would still rather focus on consoles.

i wanna say i want to see it happen but like @The Jesus Guy said it would end up being a shitty port just like how dark souls prepare to die edition was. yeah i would play if it happened but i feel like i would end up hating the port because they showed no attention to the pc platform in the first place so we'd get shit support

But that's part of the reason why Bungie doesn't want to work with PC's. They actually give a shit about releasing a quality game, so they don't want consoles to suffer by focusing on PC and they wouldn't want a PC version to suffer because of their focus on consoles.
