I had similar experiences. I used a B&W AWS610 with the A5+'s, and i just returned it because it had almost no added value.

They're also stupid loud, I don't think i've every had them above 20/30%. It's hard to tell with the knob having no indications.

That's pricey

If those are too expensive for you, you can try the Yamaha HS5/ speakers. They're cheaper and sound just as good.
