Quick question about the 750 ti

tryphaa

So my friend is looking at buying a 750 ti for his build, and he has a prebuilt. It has a i7 2600 in it, and a 300w psu. I just wanted to make sure he'll be ok power consumption wise before he drops $140. So.. will he be ok?

depends if it's a model that needs a 6-pin. But he should be okay if It doesn't need a 6-pin power connector

It has a TDP of only 60w, so...he just might be.

300watt psu's have 6 pin power connectors.

He should be fine. The worst that would happen is when the card is under a lot of load he blue screens. Then in that case he would need to upgrade to a better psu.

He'll be completely fine either way.

If you don't have enough power for a 750TI, your PCmust have some serious problems
