High refresh rate or G SYNC

UhamVj

Is it better to get a 240hz freesync moniter or a 144hz monitor with g sync? I have a nvdia card so freesync is worthless to me but for the same price of a g sync 144hz monitor I can get a 240hz freesync one. The 144hz monitor can be overclocked to 180hz but then it losses its g sync support.

The two monitors I'm talking about are the AW2518HF (the 240hz freesync monitor) and the XB241H (144hz g sync normal/180hz oc mode with no g sync).

Thanks in advance!

It depends on what you'll play... do you play high paced competitive shooters or cinematic third person story driven single player experiences?

The difference from 144hz and 240hz is not as noticable + there are not that many titles out there that you could push that kind of framerate anyway, I would go with the 144hz one.

I have G-Sync displays and absolutely love it. I will never buy a monitor without it personally.
