1333 MHZ VALUE RAM to Corsair Vengeance PRO DDR3 1600Mhz CAS9

alvez

Hello guys!

Since you always were very helpfull to me I am here again to ask for help!

After searching for a while online I could not find the exact information I wanted to unfortunelly.

My current build:

[Motherboard] - MSI Z97 Gaming 3
[CPU] - Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 4.2 GHz
[CPU Cooler] - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
[GPU] - Gigabyte G1 GAMING GTX 970 4GB GDDR5
[PSU] - Chieftec Super Series 650W
[Storage] - Crucial MX100 256GB

MEMORY:

CURRENTLY:
8GB Kingston @ 1333 MHz

8GB (2 x 4 GB) 1Rx8 512M x 64-Bit PC3-10600 CL9 240-Pin DIMM

I WANT TO UPGRADE TO:

VENGEANCE® Pro Series

8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 DRAM 1600MHz C9

https://www.corsair.com/uk/en/Categories/Products/Memory/High-Performance-Memory/VENGEANCE%C2%AE-Pro-Series-%E2%80%94-8GB-%282-x-4GB%29-DDR3-DRAM-1600MHz-C9-Memory-Kit/p/CMY8GX3M2A1600C9R

MY QUESTION AND GOAL:

My question here is to understand if I will feel any diference, if I will run game smoother (CS:GO for example).

The goal is to have a better performance has I never upgraded this ram and is the only thing I havent touched in this build.

Should I do it or it isn't worth it?

Thanks alot!

its not worth it.

its an older plattform at this point and you will see minimal to no gain from buying this

take a look into manual Ram overcocking, you can get a bit more out of your memmory for free, even though you wont see any real gains from it.
