1700x or 2600

so right now for black friday, micro center has the ryzen 7 1700x on sale for $130.  they also have the ryzen 5 2600 on sale for $150.  Now i know that the difference in price is only $20 bucks so thats not the issue.  the issue comes down to which one is better to get for my use case.  i use my pc for streaming, gaming and school stuff with occasional photo editing.  If i go with ryzen first gen, i was gonna try and get a asus crosshair hero 6 if i still can other wise i would go with something else.  which one is a better use case for my personal needs?

The Ryzen 7's core count will give you much higher stream quality, while the Ryzen 5 will give some slightly better game performance, but still be good at streaming.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

ok one more thing,  i could get a 16gb kit of corsair vengence pro rgb 3000mhz for $145 or a gskill trident z rgb at 3600mhz for the same price, will the difference in speed be that noticible?  there the same price but i personally like the look of the corsair more so

You can get a 3200mhz 16GB kit for $115. You can loosen the timings making it a 3600mhz kit.
