I’m using a 9700k at a stable 5 ghz and it’s not doing that well in benchmarks. I’m getting a 1400 in Cinebench, 4063 multithread cpu z, 170 second render corona 1.3. Hits 90+ degrees in prime 95 using 360mm aio full speed. Specs: Maximus xi hero, 16 gb 3200 MHz DDR4, 2070. Should I be concerned and what should I do to better my score?

Maybe something wrong with the cooler installation. Is the pump running at full speed when the fans are? Does the old thermal paste cover up most of the CPU lid after you take the cooler off? Is their enough mounting pressure?

Also can you use less CPU core voltage?

Check temps and frequency while benching. Are you thermal throttled?
What is your voltage?
What is the expected score?

Hmmm that doesn't seem right.  Have you seen what other owners are getting in Cinebench?  I just ran my 2700X without SMT/Hyperthreading and got a 1436 at 4.39GHz so your score does seem low.

I would ask if your BIOS is enforcing the Intel 95W TDP, but your temps would make me assume it isn't.
