Suggestion between Asus and MSI for entry level laptop

Nero

I am planning to buy a new gaming laptop. I have shortlisted 2 laptops and them being MSI GL63 8RE-455IN and ASUS ROG Strix GL503GE-EN041T.

Both of them have i7-8750H. The confusion that I am facing is that MSI one has a a 60hz screen and the quality of screen in terms viewing angle and color accuracy of but has a 1060 6gb and Asus one has 144hz display with good viewing angles and color accuracy with a 1050Ti. What should I do ? Please suggest what I should do. My use case is mostly gaming and Content consumption from netflix and youtube.

If you want gaming and watching movies, then don't look at refresh rate on internal screen, but on GPU power. You'll probably connect monitor very soon to get proper size and quality. And then GPU power will be important.

I was actually planning on making a PC but I need at least a 1060 for future proofing but at this price point I am able to get everything sorted and also I have a need for it being portable as I will be travelling a lot, So a laptop made more sense for me.

GL503GE has slightly better build quality and display quality. Slightly worse thermals (not 'bad' by all means) and keyboard though.

If you're looking for entry level gaming laptop, MSI and Asus don't really have good value options

You're buying in India? What's your budget? No preference on weight and battery life?

Desktop specs:

Ok i understand the traveling part. Go for a laptop then since you are gonna be traveling. But the 580 8gb is gonna be more future proof than the 1060 6gb ?

See I don't have a problem spending up to 1L INR and probably the options I have listed are not even entry, they might be mid range. I just want something that can run AAA titles on High Settings with at least 60 fps. I am open to suggestions but the problem is that I am unable to find anything better than these on Amazon.in or any other E-Commerce sites. About preference, I don't have any preference in Battery Life as it will mostly be close to a power outlet. But the weight is in consideration as I will have to carry it around a bit.

The problem is that I am unable to find good laptops with 580 on amazon.in and other sites and also strictly under a budget.
