New build requires F1 to boot into Windows

Just recently pieces together a used parts build. Every time I reboot I need to press F1 to continue to boot into windows. I have replaced the CMOS battery with a brand new one. And it is still the same. I have attached a pic as well as link

You mean the boot order of my drives? If so what order should they be?

The message mentions something about saving memory settings in the bios. I dont think it has to do with boot order.

I have tried different memory modules and I still get the message. One thing I noticed is that if I change a bios setting. It will not save the change.

  • 4 weeks later...

I recently decided to get a new BIOS chip and I still get that problem with requiring F1 to continue booting. And the motherboard doesn't save it's settings.
