no they are working on zen 2 it will come out 2019 probably

 

Edit: they are holding it back the idea is still there

Its possible, but it is highly unlikely as next product launch for AMD is April 2019 with Zen 2. They will be showing off some of these products at CES in january

2000 series is called Ryzen + so the next 3000 series is Ryzen 2... yeah confusing and pointless but who cares.

 

There's a few rumors of a 10 cores or 12 cores Ryzen 7 2800X that may come up afterwards the launch of Intel's i9 9900K but it is quite unlikely.

3000 series is ryzen 3 but it is Zen 2. Zen is the architecture not ryzen. Ryzen is a brand and ryzen 2 is Zen +

I don't see a reason for a 2800x, though there are some rumors about such a thing, that might or might not be true.

 

But its likely that AMD Decided against it for Power Consumption reason. And that they don't want to redefine the TDP so that it means only at base clocks and with Turbo the CPU can do whatever...
