What kind of monitor do you have? Also, are you connected via DisplayPort or HDMI or any other sort of cable?

Can you be more specific than "graphics doesn't look good"?  This could be any number of extremely different issues.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

What res/settings are you running, and in which games? Also, where do you see how other people's graphics look compared to yours? If you're watching it on YT you're seeing it through your monitor, so it should be fine. If you're looking at a mates rig IRL then it could be your monitor.

If its a 1080p monitor, you cant up the resolution. If you want it to look better, you need to get a new monitor

1080ti will run 1440 like butter. Time to add that to your shopping list :D

Also, try to pay a bit more for a higher refresh rate to utilize your gpu. Look for 100+Hz if you can. 144 is the most common vs 100/175 and such.

Why buying a monitor if you can run 1440p on your 1080p monitor?

Use DSR, Dynamic Super Resolution:

https://www.geforce.com/hardware/technology/dsr/technology

I use it too run some games on 1440p and 2160p on my 1080p monitor. I have strict requirements for a monitor so buying a 1440p monitor is a no go for me. So no, your monitor is not outdated. Mine's a BenQ GW2270H. Keep that monitor, apply DSR in nVidia Control Panel and crank up the resolution in-game.

I mean an old 1080p TN panel won't have the same eye candy of a high end IPS 1440p one, this is quite obvious.

Old low end monitor, A320 chipset and Ryzen 5 1600? weird 12gb memory config and all for a GTX 1080 Ti lol... speak about an unbalanced build

Ye, when I moved on from laptop to desktop PC, I had to get a new  monitor. But I didn't know a lot about but damn, TN is extremely ugly piece of shit, no doubt. Even if TN has been improved, they are still shit lol. The ones I have are VA's and they all have nice picture.

VA usually has better blacks and less blacklight bleeding, making it nicer for dark scenes, IPS still has the best full colour accuracy though and better for excessive light scenes.

Either are stupidly superior to TN in any way and yeah it's funny how someone buys a 1080 Ti without understanding the 'quality' of their image equally depends on the panel the image's on not just the GPU rendering it.

Exactly, I got the VA monitors because of better blacks and less backlight bleeding. And nicer for dark scenes? That's one of the strict requirements lol

It was way back since 2014 since I had to move on to desktop PC so yeah, during all those years I learned a lot.

Anyway, since I know of Asus ProArt PQ22UC, I am so waiting for it! Price won't be cheap, that's for sure lol.

I have a 144Hz 1080p monitor with my 1080 (soon to be 1080 SLI cause why not), and the difference between 60 and 100+ hz is m a s s i v e. 144Hz is absolute smooth perfection, and if you score a monitor with G-Sync like I did it's near flawless unless you get drops below like 80 or so (which I don't except in ROTTR on maxed settings).
