GPU limited by utilization?

No, but I had a tornado go through the city and lots of power surges. I am wondering if that's the issue I'm having (possible that my drivers got corrupted, since I don't have a power bank for my pc, I need to buy one really bad)

I reinstalled them yesterday, and I'm going to come back to the thread in a couple days and update on if it's gotten better or worse. If it's better, I'll mark it as solved.

Until then, thanks everyone for the advice, I'll still keep it in mind.

Hi, I'm not new here and issues are not new to my pc, either.

my specs:
CPU: I9 9900KF

GPU: RTX 3060 (Asus KO 3060 OC, but who cares?)

PSU: Corsair RM850X (WITH custom cables)

RAM: 32 GB DDR4 3200 MHz

I've spent a lot of time troubleshooting this pc before, but for the last 2 years, I've been trouble free (mostly)

Recently, my pc has completely gone off the deep end.

I wanted to play FS22 with some friends, so I loaded up a multiplayer game (I actually noticed this once before in singleplayer the day before), and it started out at a stable 95 fps. Over time, the fps drops and becomes limited by the utilization and fps doesn't get above about 10 - 15.

I spent awhile troubleshooting, and updated my drivers. Fixed it for about a day, and now it returned and it's even worse.

Now Farming Simulator is not known for being well optimized, so that's why I've tried more games.

in January, I played FH5 at about 80 - 100 fps, no stutters/framedrops.

Now, maybe 15.

in June last year, I got 60 fps in FS19 (its limited)

now, maybe 20.

A week ago in FS22: 60 (was limited, thought the issue was that so I ran the command in command prompt to run the program without the frame limiter, which did nothing but allow high framerates before the issue became noticeable.)

now: Maybe 15.

I checked in HWInfo, nothing is being limited. Not CPU, not GPU. Nothing is overheating either, and I've never had anything bottleneck before. I played FS22 with about 8 people in January (as host) for two weeks straight and did not have this issue once.

I'm not sure what the issue is, I am really frustrated with this and I've been struggling for several days trying to figure it out. I thought it was just fs22, but I am now realizing it was not. I have had several other small issues with my pc here and there, but did not think anything of it. Streaming in discord calls did not work well, and caused large amounts of lag.

I am currently reinstalling my graphics drivers, and I will update on what happens once they are done.

I've preformed a clean install for the graphics drivers, and now the issue seems to be gone for today, I do still think it's going to return since I've already tried a similar thing. I guess I'll have to see.

@Farm-Boy_7130

Monitor your power usage, try to left them up manually, and also monitor through GPU-Z. Monitor everything like CPU GPU clocks, temps, power, and current. It could also be a software. Disable any antivirus and even Windows Defender. Last resort would be a Windows re-install.

Edit - Check if your PSU isn't acting up and check if the power and other cables are plugged in neat. I think that it a power related issue and maybe some software.

PLEASE MARK COMMENTS AS SOLUTION IF SATISFIED!!

bigger number better, makes me look cooler.
