Anyone know any scientific source about AI replacing doctors?

Hello, I am writing an essay and I was just wondering if someone could help me find a scientific source. A source which contains how the hospitals will be affected by AI in the near future, what will happen to all the staff that work in hospitals? 

What are your own theories? When might hospital staff get replaced with machines and AI softwares? (What is your source) ? 

Would be very greatful if someone could help me.

I guess in that case you're right. I saw a couple threads last week about programming homework so I'm just seeing that stuff now I guess.

It won't replace them. It will replace jobs like a radiologist as it can be used to better determine the readings of inputs. But in terms of fully replacing something like a PA. Not happening in the next 80 years

while i encourage you to do your own research as it is part of your project and you are graded on your effort, I will give you my personal insight

General doctors will not be replaced by AI any more than we currently have a webmd kiosk in the front of hospitals. Computers are good at precision and repetitive physical tasks and there will definitely be a place for robotics and AI in hospitals, but to the extent of "all the staff" there will largely be no effect. As of right now computers cannot mimic the basic intuition that a doctor has. A computer can get a list of symptoms tell you all the diseases/conditions that have that symptom tagged, but they can't narrow down the list the way a human can, hence the joke of reading webmd and finding out you have cancer, no matter the symptom.

I don't know, Web MD always diagnoses me as already dead when I use it. /jk

 

I think doctors will be fine. Almost all AI surgeries will most likely have to be supervised by a doctor in case the robot decides to deviate from the operation.

Nahh, like as long as whatever is replacing the staff can perform better than the humans. The design isn't that important, I am talking about surgeries and all other aspects like cleaning, feeding, washing etc...
