If you're just looking for a gaming headset I don't really know. There's not that much of an advantage to a wireless headset as you will be sitting at your desk when you're gaming anyways, and wireless headsets are waaaay more expensive than wired equivalents.

well personally, i like to go the wireless way as you can go anywhere around the house without having to worry about wires.

if you do go for the wireless route, the Logitech G930 looks good.

Pretty much for the wired headsets, the Corsair 1500 is a good choice.

Wired - Pros

1) More options to choose from.

2) Better quality for the price you are paying (A.K.A bang for the buck).

3) Less interference.

Wireless - Pros

1) The freedom of being able to move around.

2) The "coolness" of having a wireless headset.

3) Less hassle with it in general (no wires in particular).

Wired - Cons

1) The hassle of cables. A pain in the arse for me :(

2) You can´t move around that much (not really a con for gaming, but all this is general).

3) (Can´t really come up with something else here :) )

Wireless - Cons

1) Much more interference will go hard on the quality.

2) Less options to choose from.

3) Not really needed when it comes to gaming.

Just some general cons and pros of the top of my head :) Personally I would not get a headset at all and just go the route of separate mic+headphone. Don´t really know any good options in that price range… :(

See if you can get the Sennheiser PC360 at that price, it would actually be a good deal.

If not, proper headphones with a seperate microphone would be the best option. Take a look at the Sennheiser HD558 or the Audio-technica AD700x.

For that money, I don't suggest a gaming headset at all. Buy yourself a nice pair of headphones and a desktop microphone to go along with them. Gaming headsets usually sound like crap in comparison. The only time you really need to care about them is if you're buying a wireless headset. In which case, there are a couple good options: the Corsair Vengeance 2100 and the Logitech G930. If not, then buy the microphone and headphones separately. You could look around for some good headphones, but I wouldn't recommend the Audio-Technica ATH-M50s for gaming because I've read too many complaints about them. An excellent microphone, however, would be a Blue Snowball. If that's a bit pricey and you want better headphones, just pick any microphone that sounds decent, and Google some "best headphones" lists. The V-Moda Crossfade LP, Grado SR80i, or Sony MDR-XB-whatevers are some good general recommendations for your budget.

Well for 181.25 USD you can get this combo which will blow any headset in the same range out of the water :)

Audio Technica ATH-M50: http://www.amazon.com/Audio-Technica-ATH-M50-Professional-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B000ULAP4U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388845594&sr=8-1&keywords=ATH+M50

Blue Snowflake: http://www.amazon.com/Blue-Microphones-Snowflake-USB-Microphone/dp/B0012AUHXW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388845796&sr=8-1&keywords=Blue+Snowflake

There are other options as well, but this is not much over your aforementioned budget and will be a good combo (Plus that the M50s aren´t overly bass heavy while still packing bass so you will be able to listen to all different sorts of music genres and feel the explosions in game :) ).

There will always be bad reviews of headphones. The M50s have quite few bad ones actually… :)

No no no, in terms of quality, the ATH-M50s I could easily recommend. It's for gaming that I can't, because apparently they just don't sound good for it.

Not necessarily. Some people use them for studio use, but a lot of people use them for just listening to music. There's not that big a difference between the two, really; it's just about getting closer to hearing what the artist intended.

i see... have you had experience with either the g930 or the corsair 1500?

i've had experiences with the G930 itself, seeing as my brother has it. and it's actually not a bad headset, the comfort on it is absolutely spot on, the gaming experience with it is amazing, you can hear every sound. and the 7.1 surround sound helps too.

A quick look brings me to the Sennheiser HD558 and the Zalman ZM-MIC1. I have experience with the microphone (and it's pretty good for the money) and listened to the HD558 in a store and was pleasantly suprised. Also this combo is not that overpriced compared to other places.

For the cheapest good option, the Pioneer SE-A1000 is only 78 euros. Just take my word that it sounds great and is comfortable, but I can understand if you're leaning towards the 558 since you tried it in-store and it's good as well.

I just searched microphone on Amazon.it and these came up at the top of the list with good reviews - http://www.amazon.it/Trust-16973-Starzz-Microphone/dp/B003MFYY3Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1388858157&sr=8-1&keywords=microphone http://www.amazon.it/Trust-TRUST-MC-1200-Microphone/dp/B000185ALA/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1388858157&sr=8-2&keywords=microphone - not clip-ons like the Zalman, however.
