Need tips on how to move a Desktop PC

jasss221

I just take out my graphics card and put that in the card's box, and then just stick my tower in the case's box when I need to move my rig.

removing the graphics cards might be a good idea. everything else looks like it'll hold in place well, as long as you keep the PC on its side.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

yeah i usually remove the graphics card aswell, sometimes if it's not too long distance between the destinations you can just leave it in there aswell if you drive carefully

If you store the PC on its side for transport can you leave an air cooler on (I know OP has an AIO I'm just curious)

From someone who has moved 5 times within past 2 years. You really don't need to do anything if you are driving/carrying case with you whole time. If you are using moving company or need to place PC somewhere where you can't be sure its secure, then removing GPU and using good packaging material becomes important.

It's sealed air internal foam. They cost no more than $10.00.

I just moved last month and left it all in just fine, just keep it on its side to the GPU won't hang.
