Need your help with dvd driver power connection

So we bought an Acer Aspire tc-885 i5518 and want to upgrade it with gpu (1050 ti). The psu was too weak, so I bought a 450 watt psu (Corsair). But the DVD driver is out of a laptop and has a slim Sata connector, thus it doesn't fit. Will it be a problem if I get a Sata to slim Sata connector to solve this? (See attachment)
