A bit of both actually. I gamed when I was in high school, but I walked away from gaming. I was spending too much time gaming that it affected my health. I am trying to do some content creation on the side to get some more money in the pocket.

The CPU doesn't matter much. If you can get an equivalent or better AMD card for the sameish price of your 1060 I would grab it. Check out used Fury cards for a nice performance bump while also gaining Freesync

That's an F in the profile pic

I was wondering if I should change my graphic card in my computer? I have a Nvidia 1060, but I have an AMD CPU and a free sync monitor. Should I and what would be the price range if I do decide to make the change .

That fits the description of the Nixeus EDG, which is 1440p

I don't think there are any cost effective AMD cards that can run 1440p at a high refresh rate

Better off with something like a 1080/1080Ti (or wait for reviews on the upcoming 2060)

Your CPU is fine.

Unless you can't afford any of those cards I suggested

a 1600 bottlenecks a 1080 ti... i'd just stick with the 1060, unless you can get a ti for cheap, your call.

The ideal thing to do would be to find someone looking to trade for an RX 480/580. They could potentially sell the 1060 for a few extra bucks and you'd get FreeSync.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!

At higher resolutions its the GPU that is more likely to be the bottleneck

That depends on the game. 1440 isn’t that high and that amd cpu is quite weak.
