i don't know what has happened but since last using my PC a couple of weeks ago, all my games have been removed from my HDD. everything on steam, uplay, ect... the HDD is still recognised and i can still access it

is there a cause for this or just computer fuckery?

I know my Steam games occasionally forget a bunch of settings, but I've never had them uninstall themselves. What about non-gaming programmes? What about your personal files? Sure your Windows install hasn't been restored from backup or something?

Because stuff like that would be missing.

Go in to Steam>Settings>Downloads>Steam Library Folders and check that Steam is looking in the right place. Also make sure your drive name or letter haven't been changed.

if you run steam.exe it would attempt to fix the program.
