hi i want to  buy one  ^6TB  hardisk  i am between  in  

WD6003FZBX 6TB SATA 6Gb s 7200 rpm 256MB

The Western Digital hard drives are actually very good and they can last for very long.

Seagate BarraCuda hard drives are actually a little bit faster but I heard a lot of bad stuff about those. Always went for WD Blue/Red/Black and also Seagate SkyHawk HDD's

for my NAS I went with Seagate 4TB drives and have never had any problems with it. But the WD black drives are better so if money isn't a problem I would go with WD.

it's more Seagate's reputation for having a lot of drives that are prone to failure.

What is your goal?

 

Normally highperformance hdds are a bad deal.

 

Id just get a cheap 6tb or 8tb hdd and put a ssd cache on it.

 

Also be sure to back it up.

The WD Black is a lot more expensive than the BarraCuda. I would stick with Seagate in this case. Do you have an SSD in your system?

I gave you some info on what a better option than those 2 disks would be. 

 

You also didn't say workload and what you using it for.

 

If you haveto use those disks, get the cheaper, there basically the same.
