Looking for help and compatibility! CoolerMaster Hyper N520 on an FM2 socket.

Vonnie

Hi there, I have an FM2 socket on my motherboard and a Cooler Master Hyper N520, is there any way to get them to play nicely together? Or would I have to scour the far corners of the internet for some bracket or adapter to connect them together, I don't want to have to buy any thermal paste if there is no way to use the new cooler so i haven't tested the fit yet.

Yes, it supports FM2. You can see what hardware is needed under in the user manual under the AM2 section: http://us.coolermaster.com/product/Detail/cooling/hyper-series/hyper-n520.html

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

If you look at the user manual listed there, you can see that it isn't as helpful as it could be, I don't have the full kit, it came from a scrapped pc.

The first pic is Intel hardware. You got all you need. The backplate is same they use with 212 coolers, You use the rectangular side for AMD, square for Intel.
