30 fps and 60 fps

Some1iscool

Yeah, you can tell the difference between 30 and 60. 30 FPS is wack and choppy, while 60 FPS is smooth like a butter knife just slice through the butter.

30 FPS looks like hot garbage. LIterally unplayable. 60 FPS is very nice and smooth

Naw, if this were true, consoles would have terrible sales.

30 FPS is fine in single player games, the input delay does not really change gameplay.

60 FPS is the minimum for online competitive games because the delay introduced by low FPS can be the difference between winning and losing.

For multiplayer fast paced/shooter games, I would actually recommend just about anything higher than 60fps.

4k 60 is easy, even a console can do it now. 4k 144hz is a little tricky though

If anyone asks you never saw me.

No, consoles can not do 4k 60.  They do 1080p/60 and upscale.  If a game is natively 4k it usually has super simple graphics.

No, the One X does native 4k 60fps. Not in all games, but in a lot of the MS titles.

Even a 980ti can lock 4k 60 in most titles with some settings changes that are next to imposible to pick up in gameplay, a 1080ti locks 4k 60 in just about any title without settings sacrifices.

Again, what year is it? How far back did I go?

If anyone asks you never saw me.

Yes, easily! Hell, ever since I went 75hz I don't even like looking at 60. And it's not imagination, to make sure I wasn't just crazy I had someone switch between 60 FPS, 75 and 45 FPS randomly and I could easily pick out each without any hesitation. They could also pick it out just as quick.

30 and 60 are very noticeable.  30 used to be serviceable, hell even 20 used to be 2 decades ago.  Frame pacing seems like the bigger issue IMO, and I've yet to have a PC that didn't illustrate that.  In that regard, consoles have always been superior.

No?

PC has better framepacing than console as a rule in general.

normally I play games at 60... the one time I saw 120 it was so much better...

I should get a 120hz monitor one of these days...
