There's a guide to mining litecoins somewhere here on the forum (Found it) but you'll just be wasting time and money to mine with your laptop. To even mine enough litecoins (provided the difficulty won't go up and the price stays the same) to buy an r9 290 will take a few years.

I strongly advise you not to mine on a laptop, they get hot enough already, using it at 100% to mine coins, will not only net you pennies a day, it will also ruin your laptop probably.

Don't forget mining on a laptop could lead to thermal management issues.

You'll have more luck buying the gaming computer and doing some mining to pay it off. You can try with the 6670, but good luck.

I think you should mine with that future pc that you're planning, although it's sorta difficult to use your pc to mine whilst using it, so try to mine while you sleep/ or while u do IRL stuff.

Right now the best option is to use this website: http://www.coinwarz.com/cryptocurrency/  and just do whatever is at the top of the list, if it's easy to sell, but if you're gonna leave it on 24/7 it's probably better to go after something more stable, such as LTC/Dogecoin

You won't be able to do anything else whilst mining, it uses 100% of your gpu, making anything you do on your screen very laggy, and un-responsive.

Didn't you want to make money mining? That's a purpose right there lol.

You can use either one, although CPU mining isn't really worth it, GPU's use a little extra power and usually get MUCH more hashrate

Enjoy your <10 FPS - It's never a good idea to mine and run something GPU intensive at the same time or else the frame rate is unplayable. Suppose you can entertain yourself with using an SNES emulator at the same time, but nothing demanding.

A Laptop with a massive screen is still laptop levels of performance. You're not going to mine squat with a laptop or an iMac. You may as well mine a new coin at launch and pray the thing will take off.

Mining isn't difficult, it just takes the right amount of raw power. The power of which mobile grade hardware does not have.

Pelop Just buy your rig and after you put it together mine with that. you will make your Money back MUCH MUCH MUCH quicker (prolly 10 years earlier) than if you mined with your laptop. If you cant afford your rig now, explain the concept to a family member and they might invest if you agree to pay them back.
