(sorry mods, I just didn't know I which section I should put this), but I have a Rubber dome cheap a*s keyboard and the TAB button isn't existing anymore so I have to press with my Finger into a little hole to activate it and it's getting on my nerves. I was in a shop and REALLY liked the Razer Ornata Chroma (i know it isn't a mechanical keyboard) or should I go with a CPU Cooler. My temps are like 40 with 3% load and with like 50+ its over 60-70. I found a cryorig r1 ultimate for 40 bucks and I was asking myself which one. I really need a keyboard, but should I rather upgrade my cooler? U decide

I wouldn't get a Razer keyboard, they're generally overpriced and there are better options.

Keyboard.  Quality of life issue.  Your temps aren't a problem, get a cooler later on.  Keyboard will give tangible benefits from the word go.

 

No opinion on Razer.

You don't need $40 for a decend keyboard. I'm using a $10 dell right now, and it types pretty well.

If I'm going to upgrade I'd probably take the corsair k55 though.

I personally think that is a bit much for a keyboard, the corsair k55 is just $50 here.

If you have 100, go mechanical. It's worth it.

But I don't like the mechanical feel. I don't hate it, it's just that I like the mecha membrane keyboard so much better

That's fine, not everyone likes mechanical. But don;t spend too much, membrane doesn't cost that much, really.

That is true, but I suspect he mentioned Ebay because it might be cheaper then in-store. Which probably means it's used. But that doesn't mean it is of course.

Mine 1700, I ordered everything locally because I get warranty that way, which is harder to say of ebay sometimes(even though that garanty thing)

i would avoid razer keyboards. From my experience they make expensive keyboards but their build quality is not good. If u want a new keyboard get corsair or logitech. Cheaper option would be armaggeddon keyboards.

Its not worth spending over $80 or even $65 for membrane. They break so fast. $80-120 for mech is reasonable as they will last. Or you can get good quality older keyboard, one without gaming branding. Old IBM and Lenovo office keyboards are really durable.

Yeah, warranty is something you miss out on when buying from eBay. However, RAM, CPU and most things EVGA will still have warranty.

The way I see it, I paid $350 for a PC worth over $3,000. If I have to replace a part or two in the next year, I'm still out ahead.
